Corvette earns "Made in Marseille" label

label made in Marseille

The Corvette was recently awarded the "Fabriqué à Marseille" label, a distinction awarded by the City of Marseille to promote local know-how.

This label rewards our commitment to local, artisanal and responsible production, perpetuated at the Savonnerie du Midi for over 130 years.

A label to recognize local know-how

Launched in 2025 by the City of Marseille, the Fabriqué à Marseille label distinguishes craft and industrial companies that produce locally, according to strict criteria: Marseille origin of manufacturing or processing, quality of know-how, and consideration of social and environmental issues.

At the official ceremony held at the Palais du Pharo, La Corvette was awarded the prize in the "Other manufactured products" category, alongside 106 other prize-winners committed to promoting the Marseille region.

La Corvette: Marseille soap heritage since 1894

Since 1894, La Corvette has been perpetuating the tradition of genuine Marseille soap at the Savonnerie du Midi, one of the last historic soap factories still in operation. Our soaps are made using the traditional cauldron process, using vegetable oils and no colorants, perfumes or preservatives.

Our commitment is based on three pillars:

  • Authentic know-how, recognized by the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label and our membership of the Union des Professionnels du Savon de Marseille.
  • An eco-responsible approach, with ECOCERT-certified formulas and sustainable packaging.
  • Local, hand-crafted production, faithful to ancestral, local, hand-crafted production.
